I’m taking a coffee break to help the homeless and I’m hoping you will join me in making sure that no South Australians are left cold, hungry and scared this winter.
As most of us settle into a comfortable bed in a safe and familiar environment, almost 6,000 South Australians
will face the terrifying uncertainty of where they will be sleeping tonight.
As winter creeps closer the need to support those South Australians that find themselves homeless becomes
even more essential.
From the elderly person sleeping rough on the streets to parents and children fleeing from an unsafe home
environment, homelessness has many faces. Sometimes it’s visible, sometimes it’s hidden, but it affects many
different people within our community.
The very idea of being homeless at any point of the year is a frightening thought, but as the temperature drops
and the wet weather approaches thousands of South Australians will be fighting just to keep warm, dry and safe.
I'm getting involved in the Coffee Break to make life a little easier for those that find themselves homeless and encourage you to get on board and either sponsor me or register to do it yourself!!
Together we can make a difference!
